    According to IEEE 242 ,table 4-2 (Recommended practice for protection and coordination of industrial and commercial power system) the additional term on 50 and 51 ANSI code such as 50N or 50G is defined as follows: G: Ground-fault protection which relay current transformer is located in a system neutral circuit. GS: Ground-fault protection which relay current transformer is toroidal ground sensor. N: Ground-fault protection which relay coil is connected in residual CT circuit.
